Want More Protection on Your Home Network?
One way to secure your router is by setting up your WEP key which, by default, is disabled. To turn it on, unfortunately, you are going to have to review the instructions that come with it. However, once it is on, other people will no longer have easy access to your router, network, or files!

Automatic Security In A Foreign Network
With Network Magic installed you receive enhanced wireless protection. For example, when you enter into a foreign network (i.e. WiFi Hot Spots) Network Magic's PC Shield automatically locks down shared folders (from being accessed by "outsiders")
and then will unlock them when you reconnect to your home or another "authorized" network.

Automatic Detection & Configuration of Your Printers Across the Entire Network
SmartSetup, Network Magic's intelligent home networking set up tool, will automatically detect and configure your PC, shared files, printers, and devices, something that normally requires manual downloading/installing of drivers into each PC in the home. Always Know the Status of Your Home Network
With Network Magic you always know what is going on with your home network connections because the Network Status tool keeps you posted on the condition of your home network. If there is a problem, the Network Status will indicate the issue to you and with a simple click of a button Network Magic will attempt to repair the problem for you. To make it even easier you can check up on your home network from three locations:
- The Network Map displays icons that indicate the current status of each computer, device, and connection.
- The Network Status Box (located in the upper right hand of the Network Magic application) will change its display depending upon the current status of the entire network. A green check indicates that your home network is fully functioning and if there is something wrong, a red X will appear.
- The Taskbar Icon is an additional quick place to see how your home network is performing. Simply rest the mouse pointer over the Network Magic icon in the taskbar and it will display a snapshot of your home network's current connectivity status.

Managing Your Devices Easier Than Ever!
With Network Magic you can easily manage
all the many devices you have on your home network. Furthermore, many routers and devices have a Web-based administrative utility for managing settings and a lot of times these tend to be complex and difficult to navigate to and around. With Network Magic this problem is simplified! You are able to launch the utility or specific actions within the device from right inside Network Magic. For example, if you have a network camera on your home network, follow these simple steps to access its feed:
- Click on associated icon with your network camera in the Network Map
a. Further information about this camera (such as IP Address) will then appear
- In the "tasks" section, click on the "set up or manage device" link
- You will then automatically be taken to the web utility associated with the camera
- And like *that* you can see the direct feed from the camera!
